Mindset and Wellbeing Coaching for Musicians & Artist Development Mentoring
The Music Seeds offers 20 weekly one-to-one online coaching sessions with Sonny Southon. Sonny provides 100% confidentiality, creating a safe and supportive space for musicians of all gender identities, ethnicities, and backgrounds to explore their challenges and goals—ensuring their careers align with their values and what truly matters to them.
During these sessions, Sonny guides musicians through the many aspects of building a sustainable music career. She offers support in songwriting, setting up home studios, sound engineering, music production, live performance, releasing music, understanding copyright and royalties, navigating contracts, working with managers, PR and booking agents, understanding record and publishing companies, preparing for recording sessions, mixing and mastering, sync licensing for TV and film, building an online presence, navigating social media, structuring finances, and—most importantly—cultivating a positive growth mindset.
In addition to being an accomplished musician, Sonny is an E-RYT500 YACEP Advanced Yoga Teacher. She brings together her passion for music, health, and wellbeing through The Music Seeds, offering Mindset & Wellbeing Coaching and Artist Development Programs. Her mission is to support musicians in building careers that align with their skills, values, and goals, while prioritising their mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
Sonny continually studies health, psychology, yoga, and mindfulness, integrating these disciplines into her coaching. She emphasises the foundations of holistic wellbeing and the importance of maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
With a career spanning several decades, Sonny brings extensive experience from both inside and outside the recording studio. She has worked as a singer-songwriter, engineer, producer, live performer, and recording artist. She has signed major publishing and recording contracts in both the UK and the USA and has performed alongside legendary artists.
Her life experience is equally rich. Having travelled solo and navigated the world as a female touring musician, she has set up homes in London, Manchester, Los Angeles, Milan, and Sydney. She is now based in Wellington, Aotearoa, New Zealand.
